im sure i installed the prog right not sure it can be done wrong.
i am getting no sound in game for some reason, so far i have done instant action with the borg on a game map that was in the download. game likes to pause for a second here and there but no biggie just cant get any sound.

other than that great mod..........................

hm.. check your soundsettings, perhaps 3d sound is activated, but your sound card doesn't support it or the volume is 0.

i reinstalled it and checked my settings. all other programs work fine for music and sound cept this one. i still like the mod hehe just wondering if anyone else is haveing the same problem.

so far i played borg and star fleet no sound for either game. if anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.

try to download the newst beta 1.1, it fixes some errors in the setup programm if you use a armada1.1 cd.. perhaps this solves your problem too.

if you use have a non english version of armada or one of the 'newer' armada II cd's then it may fix your problem by downloading beta 1.1

btw. has anybody installed fleetops with a non english version? it theoreticly should work, but i have no report about it yet

i instaled th new version and the game is improved in many ways but 2.
the scouting AI likes to park in asteroids. and still no sound. other than that kick ass mod.

my comp is a p4 512 ddr ram
onboard sound card,  nvida xstacy graph card, soya dragon mboard (if any of these help) game played in instant action all times so far on all maps. not sure if i did something wrong any help  would be apreciated thanx in advance

all other programs work fine but the sound for this mod but its a nice mod. congrats on th mod you guys  :lol:  :D

hmm, how big is your sounds folder in the fleetops dir? should be aroung 165 mb

the sound folder is 164 megs
i even went through the folder and played most of them with wind media player they all play

try to disable hardware acceleration in your sound options

tried it nada results. i shoulda payed more attention 1n class when we went over 2k lol. im gonna get laughed out now being A+,NET+, Cisco certified hehe

what is the result when you try to make the direct sound tests with dxdiag? (start -> run -> dxdiag)
What's your soundcard?

sound card is a onboard version from the soyo main board it works fine with all other programs including cnc generals, armada 1 and 2, for some reason its not working with the mod. could the cd have uploaded wrong files during the load. i am  useing the new patch also.

are you using the original windows drivers or one from your manufacturer and wich windows version are u using?

standered bios, the dxdiag only  shows( Soys_) for main board
running dirext x 9.0, win 2k pro, drivers are from auto update feature used in win2k,

ok got the drivers currant drivers are newer.hehe installed anyway and guess what
same problem lol. im thinking the minor scratches on my armada cd might have done this.defracting the laser into a dif track during boot.unless you get other people useing my setup with the same problem im thinking its specific to my comp.gonna take 3 weeks to reread my 2k books to start figureing it out.  it dont matter its a good mod nomater what guys
