Title: B2: Something Strange About The Noxter Comp
Post by: -=B!G=-The Black Baron on June 04, 2004, 08:58:40 PM
OK I was playing with a friend who has just started playing fleetops, so we went against 3 hard comps, I was Noxter and he was Romulan and I think we were playing against Borg, Federation and Klingon. So when we were just attacking the borg, there was an error detected on my comp so I had to drop out of the game, but when the friend put me on AI takeover, the stupid AI selfdestructed all of my ships, and I had like 4 full groups left :omg: . I said to him that he clicked eliminate but he was sure he didn't and plus all of my bases were still alive.
This wasn't the first time I noticed this, this happens alot to me when I play against the AI, they just drive to me  and then blow up their ships and thats exacly why I stoped playing against the noxter. So I wanna know whats wrong with them, can this error be corrected???

yep there is a strange bug within the noxter odf structure (that is why they have to pause for one version). i think i have isolated the bug. the redone noxter for version 4.0 wont have that bug anymore.

Is this bug the reason, why, even if you play Noxter yourself, sometimes vessels and structures simply destroy themselves?

I lost two or three mines + some collectors during a game agains cts006. Ok, I did win nevertheless... however, it was pretty strange.

yea, thats right, if the game gets out of sync, armada tries to correct the error by 'fixing' vessels causing that problem  :sorcerer:
