Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

Ok i've tried to edit nirvana 2 map. First i made it an only 6 player map, then I added some moons and that all worked out OK. But then I wanted to add some crewless ships and stations and they just didnt show on the map, like they weren't there. I tried everithing I could think off, first I made them team 0 and they did show on the map but I couldn't do anything with them, then I made them a team that could be played in that map(in my case team 7) and they didn't show on the map, and I also tried to make them the same team than me and they still didn't show on the map. I am sorry but I am running out of ideas so I would be very gratious if someone can help. Thanks

mh, it should work if you put them into a team which is not used. make sure you set this team to empty (press ctrl+r to bring up the pereferences dialog with the team settings).

Ok thanks I tried it on another map and it worked :lol:
But now I have another problem, well actually 2 problems:
-when i play the map noone can choose his position, and the minimap picture isnt showing
-when I try to make the map larger it doesnt work(i press ctrl-r and change the specs)

1) when you have placed all of the starting locations make sure you close all other players (ctrl + r & do it in that menu) then it should show up, i'm not sure why there is no bmp though try saving again.
2)when you make it larger save it and then load it again the map will now be of the correct specs.

Ok the size and the starting locations now work, but bmp still doesnt work dont know whats wrong though, but now the map doesnt even show up if I want to edit it. So I will attach the map and please tell me if it works for u.

Oh yeah if u can please send me the fixed map with bmp. :blush:

i don'thave flops on my dads comp at the mo so i can't help you but if you need any more help just email me

the bmp will be empty if you save the map by using the save option in the menu. try ctrl+s

gr8 map but those species in the nebula are really nasty

i know it was , but you don't mind having them there, becuse they pose no danger to you'r selected placement
