Title: Trade Station As a Research Station
Post by: Blade on August 02, 2008, 11:31:20 PM
hi i have added the research ability onto the trade station it kindda works but the research button is hidden and the only way to access the menu is by pressing B is there a way to allow the trade station to have the build button and research button along with the trade resources button so that it can build ships or research stuff

yh its gonna be used for my mod the trade station builds 3 mining modulas one dilithium, one metal and one latinum (or multiples eg 2 dilthium and 1 metal or 3 latinums etc) but there is no build button so u need to press B to access the build menu

well atm it researches tech (need to install the 2.5 patch) but it builds its pods (like research) but these pods are mining stations there are 3 types of mining stations one that handles dilithium on that handles metal and one that handles latinum (and you can build them in any combination this is to help with the freighter quing and to allow more specialised mining stations (also forces the freighters to use certain stations). the main node in which the stations build from is the trade station and in my tests it all works appart from o build button but the menu is there by pressig B

can this mino problem be solved so not only we get the trade menu and button but we also get the build/research menu and button

There is a file where you can specify the button order. I think its an odf, maybe a spirit file. So it is possible to change the order of the buttons, (priority of the buttons appearing).

it might be in the button odfs odf/command or something like that. Make sure that no two buttons share the same spot along the bar.
