like when i turn on the Archoynous Cursor or something the graphics frezze. for some reason so i turn it off and when i do this thing slows down. can anyone give me some advise

look in the fo install folder for a folder named FO DATA and post the logs on here, always helps!!!

ok but it also happens on my stock star trek armada II game too. i hate vista

yeah me to, I always have to run under administrator mode, i can not run any flops games as a non admin user, and i run under xp compatablity.

yeah well like how do you run it XP compatability. and i was wondering is there any way too install windows XP on a computer that came with Vista Stock?

you will need to either partition your drive or run an emulator like virtual pc.

to run it under xp

right click on the .exe and click properties goto compatibility and click the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and Select XP this only works on some things but helps with most.

how do i get Virtual PC or an emulator and ive tryed the compability thing but it still keeps messing up. my graphics card is NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M is that good enough to run this game good?

I wouldn't think so - but then again, I have an HP computer, and I've had real problems installing the pre-release. I just assumed it was vista being uncooperative as it often is with games.

The brand shouldn't affect it... hopefully   :(

Hasn't happened to me, but doesn't surprise me, since although I do agree with Dom about vista being secure (  :whistling: ), stable it is not! My machine crashes regularly, even though it has 3 Gb of RAM, a quad core processor and a Geforce 8500GT card!!  :sweatdrop:  Often this happens when something graphical occurs which makes it confused.

yeah well i hate Vista, i serioursly wish i could downgrade too Windows XP. but my comp wouldnt let me this shit pisses me off. why did they have to make this crap if it wouldnt work right

lol same with me, i have a quadcore, 4 gb of ram 8800gtx with dual screens running and it dies regulary lol

is there a way to downgrade if your notebook wont let you?

yeah you get a copy of XP and stick the disk in your drive, then reset your pc, when it asks where you want to install it to you select you vista drive and you wipe it (Format) and install XP

it will be when you are installing xp, it will ask you where do you want to install to selece your vista harddrive (useually C:) and then follow the instructions one of them will be a question asking do you want to format.

Keep in mind neither FO nor Vanilla are designed to run on QuadCore... almost no games are actually...

I'm gonna wait for quantum computers  :ermm: ...I guess I'll be waiting a few more years though :crybaby:

i dont have Quad Core computer i have a dual core. im pissed that i spent money on a good computer and i cant play one of my fav games on it.

Well... is FO installed in you program files, or in your my documents? UAC from vista can cause problems if it's installed in your program files. The quadcore comment was directed at the others actually  :sweatdrop:

Since you are using vista, did you install it in the method suggested on the first page of the Vista Betafix thread?

yah, and have you installed on a friends computer (XP) then copied and pasted it over on  memory stick etc?

what is the XP Method? and if i do install XP how do i reintall all of my drivers?

do you have a load of driver dude your going to struggle with this, you might want to consalt a techy friend or your local pc shop else you could end up screwing your computer with no way to sort it ( eg not the right xp modem driver means no interweb)

yeah ill try i hope i can figure something out. i just dont get why the graphics slow down on this comp when i have enough ram and a good enough graphics card?

yeah if you want things to work on this comps the way they are meant to work then i suggest you get a LEGITIMET copy of XP (Belive me you will struggel with an pirate xp) and get a freind or a comp shop to install it, or even try it yourself (but remember you will need drivers etc) you live in the UK?

i would suggest low settings.

they dont make graphic cards for Laptops that you can buy do they? is they a place were i could download a better Graphics DRiver?

just stick with Nvidia own ones mate IMHO

id really like to get my game working at peak proficency and all so i can participate in the Tourenament next month. isnt it next month?

yep its the 30th August, the registration ends on the 23rd!
