I don't know if anyone has asked this before but could the dominion be set so that when the build a Breen ship or station, it appears in game as a Breen ship?

btw the breen are full allies to the dominion, as the vulcans are to the federation.

On the other hand, the Vulcans do not build their own Starfleet vessels, but the breen build their own ships... maybe that's a good reason... not sure  :blink:

The vulcans are not allies of the federation, they are a member of it. Founding member of it. I believe the founding members of the Federation were Earth, Vulcan, Andor, Tellar, and Alpha Centuri? I always forget the last one!!

For comparison, the Klingon Empire are allies of the Federation but not members of it. The Breen were allies of the Dominion but not members of it.

The reason the Vulcans choose not to build their own (defensive) ships is because all Federation member worlds (and by definition protectorates) are protected by the defense arm of the Federation: Starfleet.

SisQ, because I have for in my Federation and Cardassian races in the stock game, so I wondered if the FO team thought of it. Its really easy and only takes a couple of minutes, at max.

I guess you could make a ship buildable by the dominion wich is named the Breen Class or somefin, like you got galaxy class, intripid class ... etc

I believe Tyler is referring to the race symbol (on the bottom right of the ship info bar). At the moment it will say "Dominion Vessel" for all the Breen ships built by the Dominion (via the avatar) unless they are being run by the Breen NPC. I think Tyler is asking if it can be changed so they instead say "Breen vessel" for the Breen ships but still "Dominion vessel" for the Jem Hadar ships. Am i correct?

If this is the case, then yes its an interesting idea if possible, Though it would depend on how much a part of the Dominion they are in FO. If they're simple allies, then definetly, but if they're quite deeply integrated (like how they seemed in DS9) then they would likely be classified as Dominion vessels as much as the JH ships.

Exactly what I meant. Their part in the war seemed like the Federation/Klingon/Romulan alliance as in a pair of races just helping each other.

All it would take is to give the Dominion a Breen Construction Ship at the start so that any Breen Ships and Stations built are Breen.
