Title: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 18, 2008, 06:26:27 PM Yes, everyone is invited
Important: Vista users, report back! EVEN if everything is working 1.2.5 should show up in your options dialog if everything worked fine edit: now offline. get the final version instead Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Star Trek Armada II: Patch Project 1.2.5 released! (http://www.fleetops.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,3/topic,3554.0/) Remember: this is not the final version of 1.2.5. if you are trying to use the autoupdater it won't report the final version once it is released 1.2.5 "changelog" - speed optimations - code based on the latest fleet operations dev build - ALL armada files are now left untouched (installer reverts your files if you already had a previous installation of PP). you are running your UNMODIFIED armada2.exe. no loader anymore. - replaceweapon Modding features list (http://www.fleetops.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,3/topic,3545.0/) Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 18, 2008, 06:43:14 PM errr the link dnt seem to be working

Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 18, 2008, 08:31:08 PM i think so but it crashed wen ever i tried 2 use it
Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 18, 2008, 08:32:45 PM no, the classlabel is case insensitive. maybe it's my fault - got no email yet :P

Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Majed on January 18, 2008, 08:57:08 PM Thanks for the (beta) update :)
No crashes so far, options dialog reports version 1.2.5 correctly, but the nice galaxy exe icon has been replaced with the original icon. Performance seems to be a little smoother on my custom 35.000 * 35.000 maps. I'm running A2 on a XP pro machine. Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Lt.Cmdr Worf on January 18, 2008, 09:23:25 PM the replaceweapon works great. no crashes. however. I have a few odd things to report. after applying the patch my SOD viewer no longer works..crashes immediately. no big deal though. When i click the options menu to check if it sees 1.2.5 the previous menu button doesn't work. it doesn't take me back to the main menu nor and i escape. i have to ctrl+alt+del and force the program to close down. when i did get into a game. I separate the prometheus. but it doesn't let me move either of the three parts. it seems the gap between the three is too small probably related to the positioning thing you mentioned Doca. I then click the reintegrate button and then click stop right away and i can move them about. Reintegration can be done with the fusion weapon just as easily
Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 18, 2008, 09:29:54 PM ah yes, i know why the viewer crashes, forgot about that ;)
i will check the previous menu thing right, the icon is the old one again, however that is by design as 1.2.5 works entirely without exe loader Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Lt.Cmdr Worf on January 18, 2008, 09:40:46 PM don't forget about the ship parts not moving thing. see if changing the positions of the separated parts makes a difference
Posted on: January 18, 2008, 09:36:01 pm i tried to use the replacement0class0 = position feature and it crashed immediately. Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 18, 2008, 09:50:49 PM the option menu wks fine and all 3 parts can b grabbed and moved just fine 4 me i'm using vista the only slight problem is that unlike with the orig seperation were u keep both parts selected u have to reselect the different parts
Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 18, 2008, 09:56:57 PM i tried to use the replacement0class0 = position feature and it crashed immediately. you used it like replacement0Class0Position = 0,0,100 ?do you have a bug report for me? :) Posted on: January 18, 2008, 10:54:30 pm the only slight problem is that unlike with the orig seperation were u keep both parts selected u have to reselect the different parts i will see if i can "fix" that right awayTitle: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 18, 2008, 10:25:42 PM Quote Quote the only slight problem is that unlike with the orig seperation were u keep both parts selected u have to reselect the different parts i will see if i can "fix" that right awayits not really that big of a problem its just summit i noticed Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 18, 2008, 10:29:58 PM yea, but why not ;)
i have uploaded an updated version (same file) - storm3d viewer shouldn't be affected anymore - selection fix positioning works fine for me... Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 19, 2008, 01:17:43 AM storm 3d and the selection after seperation wk fine now thx
EDIT: replacementkeepName = 1 replacementKeepOwner = 1 wk aswell EDIT: the random seperation wks 2 i think the postition xyz thing wks dsnt crash it at least (i shud really test all the commands b4 i post sry) Posted on: January 18, 2008, 10:50:56 pm i have found a slight problem with reintegrating the seperate parts of ships that require more than 2 parts this is to get them to fuse there name changes the only way i know how to keep the original name is by using saucerFormation = 1 but that seems to stop the integration from working Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Crazy Moose on January 19, 2008, 01:39:13 AM saucerFormation = 1 was something to do with the way the two parts of the galaxy lines up when integrating if im not mistaken, I doubt this command will work with the replace weapon, Even the original Galaxy integrator changed the name if i remeber right, but I could be wrong.
Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Blade on January 19, 2008, 01:48:14 AM it does thats y i thought it was that command as thats the only difference
Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 19, 2008, 12:59:05 PM thanks for all your feedback guys! the final version is now available
Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations - Star Trek Armada II: Patch Project 1.2.5 released! (http://www.fleetops.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,3/topic,3554.0/) Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: Lt.Cmdr Worf on January 19, 2008, 05:47:28 PM edit: All fixed was a simple techtree error. my fpromsaucer had a hold-over from a previous attempt of MVAM which i took out of the techtree but forgot to take off of the ship. when the prometheus went to separate it called for the odf file but the techtree didn't know what it was causing a crash. All is well now. the Prometheus separates and reintegrates as it should. I still have the movement problem even with the final version of the patch but oh well..ill just select it with another ship and all will be fine. I just want the custom resolution feature so that i can play in 1400x900 and not this distorted view i have to play with now...but ill wait

Title: Re: A2PP 1.2.5 beta testers wanted Post by: DOCa Cola on January 20, 2008, 01:24:40 AM just some fine-tuning. ;) everything else seemed ok. thanks to all who gave input :)
