What's the story behind it?

not 100% its an experimental battleship using slipstream and a specifically designed deflector based weapon

EDIT::
there was a plan for a cloaking device(stealth feild) but then thought it was not feddy enuf

Slipstream eh? Is that even Startrek tech? :D ...or is that Dylan Hunt's ship  :whistling:

Oh yeah, Quantum Slipstream Drive! Oops, I guess my mind was just filled with too many sci-fi technology things recently  .
The ship kind of reminds me of the constellation class, with its four nacelles. That oval thing that holds the engines together kind of looks a little strange though with those warp engines. Is this your own creation?

Yeesh! I hate it! It's just a Sovereign with ugly nacells stuck to it... :pinch:

Wow, gotta love the I care language, lol. Anyways. I think yur ship looks neat. For some reaon, I just dodn't see it being in FO, of course, I'm not a mod or anything. I do commend you, though, for your creation of the sihp. You've gotta be creative to create a ship like that. I just don't think I see it being in FO. Course, I'm not the final say...

i sppose this could be ok if and i stress if, it is given a makeover and new name  :whistling: :innocent:

i say a makeover because just about all kitbashes come under heavy scrutiny (even FO's own Descent).
a new name is also a must to make it fit because the feds simply wouldn't call one of their ships "assassin", cause to much political rambling (ewm would have a field day with that lol).

I personally don't mind kitbashes (I like the Centuar type from DS9), unless they're really blatant, like the Yegar type, also from DS9, or, in this case, the so-called 'Assasin class'...

It does seem a bit un-fedish to me. I don't think Starfleet would care to name any of their classes of starships in that way: it's too warlike

pls include Miranda or Centauer Class in the Mod and not any unknown  Ships.
First pls include more Famous Fed ships and than "other" Ships :pinch:

i was just giving them the ship because my laptop has decided to not allow milkshape 2 work anymore so my mod has stopped

Actually, Section32, the Miranda class is going to appear in the final release of V 3.0 in the form of the Miranda-II, a specail ship you can construct if you capture Dominion technology (i.e. a construction ship).

Speaking of which, when you capture a Dominion worker unit, can it still change modes? Could a Dominion player theoretically save himself from having his technology captured by switching a worker that is being boarded into mining mode?

yep, a boarded constructor can still switch modes

actually i am not a big fan of kitbashes like that ;) btw. i think there is a model hole in each warpnacelle where you can look through. i assume this is not intended

sure, that was just my personal opinion.
anyhow, i think we have enough federation vessels currently in fleet operations :) we'd like to add (or replace current ones with) canon designs in the future

Well the only canon designs you haven't got are the Nova and Prometheus... :ermm:

Woah, heck.

That might be somewhat unbalanced, don't you think?

The Prometheus might be, but the Nova wouldn 't...

Yea, but too many ships spoil the floatilla...

Yeah, I guess so  :(
I guess it's kind of hard to balance a diversity of ships with a redundancy of those ships...
