My idea is to have ferengi trading post that would be a map idiom. The trading post would let star ships to bye wepends that would not be used by a race. Maby you could make 2 or 3 verents of the trading post that would sell different weponds.

In the signal player of A2 some weponds options where disabled in some Mishons why could we not enable other or add others?

The area where the base sits will be a demilitarized zone with means ships that are near the trading post would not be aggressive.

interesting idea. we have something in mind for neutral stations that would be similar to this. although i think a demilitarized zone wont be in.. a demilitarized zone only works if all parties agree to it and find it valuable.. the Borg would definitely don't think so  :borg:
perhaps a first neutral station will be on a testmap in v3, but they are planned to be implemented after the v3 release

I have NO idea if this is possible with the game engine, or whatever, but is it possible so that before the game the players are allowed to choose a place where they want the demilitarized zone is, or if they event want one? If a player was Borg, they could choose for themselves what they want and where they want, it would be just like in the 'real' Trek, because there would actually be negotiating for specific places where it could be... just a thought.

Although I am not one to criticize new ideas, I would still request any further implementations to be staved off till the next release.
V3 is pretty robust and I for one am eager to get to play the completed game with the Borg.

So please please complete the game!

We can then ponder on ideas of improvement and new features for a future release or patch-on

you could make it apart of the map all you would need to do is make like a nebula around this station and have the nebula disable the weapons and whatever else but you dont have to use a texture for the nebula so you dont see it this would be easy to do and if I remember FlOps only has 2 types of nebula so just change one the others it would be easy and cool :woot:
