Title: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll" problem Post by: stekoe2000 on September 04, 2007, 09:34:02 AM Hi guys!
First of all i have to say that your patch is wonderful, but i have got one big problem: When i try to start the game i always get the error: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll". Before i applied your patch the game started. Afterwards it does not. So i guess it has something to do with the patch. Is there a workaround or any possibility to get the game started? Thanks and keep it up! Title: Re: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll" problem Post by: DOCa Cola on September 04, 2007, 10:45:54 AM welcome to the forums! :)
a few questions first.. what operating system are you using? which directory do you have installed the armada 2 with patch in? please check if in your directory is a valid "armada2.executable" and "armada2hook.dll" Title: Re: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll" problem Post by: nutter130 on September 23, 2007, 01:57:58 PM i thought i would post here instead of making a new topic, i've downloaded and installed the patch, but i get the same error as the first person posted.
Answering Cola's questions im using "vista ultimate" and i have the "armada2hook.dll" in the directory, but the nearest i have to the other one is "armada2.execute" :) Help, and thanks! :) Title: Re: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll" problem Post by: DOCa Cola on September 23, 2007, 02:54:47 PM welcome to the forums!
oh, yea, i meant armada2.execute ;) just out of interest, do you have vista's UAC activated? which ways have you tried to run to start armada2? does it work for you when you run the application by starting it through explorer from your armada directory directly? Title: Re: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll" problem Post by: nutter130 on October 10, 2007, 07:29:19 PM thanks! sorry about a late reply, i didnt get the email telling me there was a reply... so i thought the topic was dead...
I have UAC activated... even though it gets slightly annoying i've grown to live with it. I've tried starting it through double-clicking/right clicking and running as administrator through the explorer, and both dont work :( Thanks for your help! Hope this helps  thanks! but i've tried this, and its for armada 2, it appears only a few have encountered this problem :( weird...oh and the armada2.exe process is still running, using just over 4k mem... but nothing happens... it just sits there...
