Title: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 22, 2007, 05:00:57 AM Gentle men and scholars of League of legends, I take pride in presenting you the very first declaration from RFO to another clan. Congratulations you’re at war. The time frame of said war is September 1st to the 30th our demands are as follows.
The removal of NeFrance as he has begun to irritate us and the addition of a perminate link to our site on your site. In turn if we loose, You will get some Graphics work from our Matthew J. Pulaskee. Also a link from out site to your site. RFO Romulan Fleet Operatoins (http://www.mjpp.net/RFO.html) Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 22, 2007, 01:55:36 PM LOL why not? we play Fleet Ops. and Nefrance stop telling us what we can and can not do aye? thats one reason this is started anyway.

Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: The Old Man on August 22, 2007, 04:24:13 PM Let's see who will win.
Is there an option to join online-games as spectator? Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: Dr. Lazarus on August 22, 2007, 04:27:14 PM There should be. I can't wait (*rubs hands together mischieviously*). :innocent:
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: The Old Man on August 22, 2007, 05:50:12 PM What kind of war do you wage then?
RFO officially declared war. Why shouldn't there be spectators then? How else should they have done it? Make it a fair competition. You joined a clan, you knew that this could happen one day and now it happend. Either you are prepared for it and stand your ground or let this become ridiculous. If you don't want to fight for something you should consider joining the civilians around here. :whistling: Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: MutantHippie on August 22, 2007, 06:17:52 PM WTF?
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: Dr. Lazarus on August 22, 2007, 06:29:05 PM I think what he's getting at is that, if you make the decision to join a clan, then it's not too surprising if another clan declares war, whether in friendly competition or... not so friendly. What is more, unless all the clans have agreed on an official place (website, forum etc.) where it is acceptable to challenge another clan, then right here in the FO forum is fair game, especially because the game in question is actually fleet operations. I think here is a great place to build up the online FO community, since there are always non-members viewing the site, who might decide to sign up and download the game if they see there's multplayer stuff going on B)
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: The Old Man on August 22, 2007, 06:33:54 PM I was not sure if you actually meant me by throwing "WTF" in, Dan.
But Doc already made my point clear. Rather than talking about war I'd prefer to call it competition. Whatever. I think this could get quite interesting if both sides remain calm and fair. Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 22, 2007, 09:19:17 PM I say YES to spectators! and i even invite any one willing to join in the fight to join the RFO side, we are the more onorble clan, as we dont spam forums or IMs...NeFrance. Wars are for the Prestige and RFO will have it. may the best win.
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: The Old Man on August 22, 2007, 09:51:36 PM I'd like to bring in the idea of some kind of ladder for the existing clans and those which will emerge.
They could be administrated as special-user and have a profile for themselves where diplomatic issues and all the stuff I can't even imagine could be noted. As this here doesn't seem to lead anywhere right now I think lots of FO-Members will have a closer look at the battlefield in September and we all can turn elsewhere now. Please don't let this get the main-topic on the FO-board please as the diplomatic issues are indeed affairs of the clans themselves. The best will prevail! Anyway... So say we all! (I call for an Adama-Smiley :sweatdrop: Btw where's our Admiral? Haven't seen him for.. months? ) Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 22, 2007, 09:56:22 PM i totally agree.
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 23, 2007, 05:03:19 AM here are some interesting posts by Siders, my responses are under them. PS i do use some vulgarity it fits there style its what they understand.
I cant post on there forums because they banned me. there ideas are so insane, i had over 40 spam accounts today on the forums. its a game guys. http://schutzenspartans.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?t=32 Romulans of Fleet Ops/Schutzen Spartans :: View topic - Siders post to others. Actually I came to the conclusion that my suggestion of a clan-ladder or whatever you would have liked to call it is a really bad idea after I've read through the above posted links.
There seem to be serious disagreements concerning the nature and purpose of clans. As not everyone seems to share a common definition about that I'd like you all to discard my ideas concerning the integration of clans here. Why is it always the same? Why do some people think FO deserves to be used as a puddle? That's not what FO deserves! That's not what the staffs' work deserves! They are working very very hard to create a game which is based on community, not pure opposition. The posts MJP linked to were not made here. I absolutely dislike the thought that this could happen one day though. I'd like to quote from the Forum-rules:
Maybe this should also count for clans. If it is already intended to do that, please regard this a hint. Really, it's a game. And it's a fantastic one! Please do keep the forums clean and play Hoedown instead. Maybe that's the point where the topic could be closed. Just as a suggestion. Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: Dr. Lazarus on August 23, 2007, 02:11:38 PM I have to agree here. The FO forums are clearly more about a united community than a battle ground between clans. Also, if one clan takes the whole thing more seriously than another clan, then we'll never have agreement. It's important to remember that, ultimately, FO is just a game. It's great fun but it's not worth stressing over. ;)
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 23, 2007, 03:51:18 PM I do hope you dont think that i am stressing over it. i believe that clans should be civil, no IM spaming, no forum spamming. just good gaming. When i remember wars in other clans i remember playing the game and seeing who would win in the end. some name calling, and then a winer was called. that is what i tried to do here. and i think that would be reasonable. i may be behind the times. yes, some of my posts are cought in the moment but that is one reason i think that it should be brought to a nice public location.
a place were there are set moderators that can say thats to far. we clans span a lot of ages on all diffretn maturity levels. and i think it would be wise for a public to watch us. Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 24, 2007, 05:03:14 PM Quote how goes the spamming guys? we have two confirmed clans going to help us delete these guys. they wanted to challenge us, then im for it. however they think it should just be in game most wins wins war.....LMFAO. no thats not how it works, they challenge us we do everything to erase them......thats true war why play around with the word......you wanted to come at us we are now coming for you. tomorrow night guys we gather with the allies and decide next level of attack. we have been making it rough for them and now its time to start making them lose S***.......this weekend we hit stage two...for you who know me, this is when the chaos begins......join in for the laugh. Ok now im stressing but not because of the game, i would never, its because this guy is threating to hack me. my sites are my way of life, can any one help me slow them down? any good hack stopers that you know of? Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: Dominus_Noctis on August 24, 2007, 05:24:13 PM I'm no computer genius, but back up all your sites to a non networked location. That way, if you really need to you can reload everything. (I can't help with the hacking stuff, but this will make it easier to recover, maybe :()
Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: Dr. Lazarus on August 24, 2007, 05:34:55 PM It might also be possible to use some sort of anti-hack software. There have been sites that use something called Spambot killer, and another with the name "sentinel" in it somewhere (I only remember that because of the film The Matrix, I cannot remember where I found it.
Oh, by the way, the reason I cannot and will not use contractions in these sentences is because, curiously, some stupid search window pops up everytime I hit the... well, the apostophe key!! :crybaby: Do not worry, it is a problem with my browser not FO (do not worry, it is a problem... jees!). Title: Re: Gentle men and scholars of League of legends Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on August 24, 2007, 06:40:45 PM I just finished my back up, and im checking with my lawyer. I will check out those programs, thanks guys.
