Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

what ever happend to the fleet ops you guys made for armada I do u still have did you delete it will u give it to the public will you hide it the many questions of fleet ops I & II

Good question.  It should be called Fleet Ops II if there was an armada I version.  I think I would like to play the armada 1 version.

ive always wanted to play the A1 flops

well, yep, the first mod we started was for Armada1 (you can see a few screenshots in the screenshot section), and we called it Fleet Operations. It was focused on lan games - most of us didn't have a flatrate, so there never was the idea to publish it..
with the flatrates coming we thought about it, but cause 'Fleet Operations 1' had a weak balancing system compared with the new Fleet Operations we never released it..
well, then there was a point, we thought "okay, let's redo the balancing system and make it public"..
but then the unbelievable happend: my hardisk went boom. Most of the SODs were lost and the balancing tables too..
then we decided to start again, but with a planed balancing system, and a new engine.. the Armada2 engine... and "Fleet Operations II" was born :)

to be honest, i didn't know what happend to Fleet Operations I.. somewhere should be a few old cd's with it .. i think Detektor has a few backup CDs. I like Fleet Operations the way it developes now, so i don't want to go to deep into the dark shadows of the past :)

flatrate = pay a fixed price per month to get unlimited internet access

fleetops '1' was not that far developed as fleetops '2' is now. also it was far too unblanced that time :P and today optec does regular backups of his fleetops files :)

yes, i have some Fleetops 1 Backups  :D

and it is compared with Fleetops 2 to bad to release it  :P

cool what races where in it??? was there the 8 or 4 was it better than armada 1? so many questions!

and jep it was better as Armada 1 , but total unbalanced  :sweatdrop:

The best Federationship was the Phalanx-Class ( Model by Dak Phoenix ), it was much more powerful than a sov

Oh, btw. i already talked with Dak Phoenix about that a while ago, the Phlanx class will come back as non buildable unit for maps in a later beta/final of fleetops
