Title: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO Cairo1 on July 16, 2007, 02:47:48 AM Good day all . lately me and lumpy (the only members left of RFO) have been playing FO and wish to add new blood to the ranks of RFO.
RFO is a friendly Romulan based clan that has a dark and dreary past that none wants to talk about :whistling: . We would like some of the newer members of the FO bords to come and take a look at RFO and some old members to rethink joining us. feel free to ask question and think about comming under the sheltering wings of the Eagle of RFO. P.S. what is the team speak IP? :D Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 03:42:17 AM Hmmm, want an alliance with FOSF?
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 06:36:58 AM How about some links? so i can see the clans? though flying the good old F-I-I tags is nice. lol (clan died over a year ago)
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Eufnoc on July 16, 2007, 10:00:01 AM Hmmm, want an alliance with FOSF? :O Heh i know i don't play and your the only active member but make your own clan to allie with them!!! :@ Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on July 16, 2007, 03:01:13 PM http://s4.invisionfree.com/Romulans_Fleet_Ops/ (http://s4.invisionfree.com/Romulans_Fleet_Ops/)
but you have to log in to access it, and i don't think StarTrek47 has been on to verify accounts, so i am going to make a secondary site for the mean time. Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Dr. Lazarus on July 16, 2007, 04:00:17 PM Quote RFO is a friendly Romulan based clan that has a dark and dreary past that none wants to talk about . Awesome! Unfortunately, Wozbot is formerly affiliated with IBKW, and has not foraken his heritage. His heart is of that world. His blood is as theirs. What is more, the Klingon Empire are arch enemies of the Romulan Star Empire. We warriors tell many tales around camp fires about that dark and dreary past, a dark age rarely spoken of. Fascinating, though! :woot: Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on July 16, 2007, 04:18:35 PM even though we are romulan based, i still play as feds almost every time
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 05:20:25 PM Whatever happened to ST47? Haven't seen him around in ages...
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 07:07:25 PM probably got bourd of nothing happening.
Tell me guys, Why should I join a Fleet Ops clan, what advantage do i get and how often can i count on a game or something. Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 10:21:13 PM Well, first and foremost you get the benefit of saying "Hey, I'm a part of FOSF!" or "Look at me, I'm RFO!". Of course, you can use the tag online, and you get to be a part of a little social circle. Of course, this is just until V3 full comes out. Up until then, we're all just fooling around. We have no serious games or tournaments or wars. Of course, when V3 comes out, so will the major player base. Some of them will be looking for a clan, in which case we'll be happy to have them. Others may already be a part of the clan and have just been inactive. Still others may form their own clans. Whatever the case, if you join now, you can say that you're one of the original people and have a bit of bragging rights and reputation, and also the benefit of seniority in whatever rank systems emerge.
So, by all means, join one of our social groups now and reap the rewards later! Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 10:28:26 PM Interesting reply, i liked it.
what is the link to FOSF? and i cant see the ROF site... Are there plans to have tournaments and the like in the clan? and what are the rewards? other then braging rights? LOL i saw plenty of bragging rights in the F-I-I so much so that during the reberth i was given a rank of VAdm, but to what end? Social networking i get from right here i think. lol Im just stirring the waters to see something, dont take this as a challenge to clans or a debate. Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 10:33:32 PM Here's the link to the FOSF site. It's been inactive for about a year , but I'm hoping Euf will let me get things cleaned up and ordered out.
http://s13.invisionfree.com/FOSF (http://s13.invisionfree.com/FOSF) In the mean time, you're welcome to join, as is anyone else. Go ahead and post it here, or better yet, pm me. p.s. is RLF still around at all? Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 10:36:16 PM it seams that both FO clans have been inactive, kinda like a lot fo the older a2 clans, and even some of the new ones (though i hanvt been on a2 in a long time). the Armada game dosnt really seam to support clan life. any of your clans consider moving into other startrek games? STFC3? lol its my latest fancy.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 10:40:33 PM We probably will, once FO dies out. I know there are still some active A2 clans, and probably A1 clans as well, but many others have moved on. Will we? I don't know. Moving from an RTS to a game like SFC3 is quite a jump. Maybe moving to something like CnC3 or AoE3 or even Supreme Commander or Company of heroes, but only because they are the same genre. Truth be told, I would prefer moving to another Star Trek RTS, but the sad fact is that there aren't any newer ones out. Maybe Empire at War will do?
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 10:45:03 PM I would submit that the genre is anti clan, unless you have weekly/monthly tournaments. were in with STFC3 you could have a ship assigned you and earn upgrades though other things. for that matter, things involving FO.....but this is off topic...BAD MATT BAD
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Jan on July 16, 2007, 10:45:46 PM Why just you all shut up and get your little asses onto teamspeak so we all have nice games? :D NOW!
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 10:46:45 PM whats the server IP? found it( 217.172.177.10:8769)
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 10:58:05 PM The thing is that the clans must be sustained in other environments, like these forums. I've seen many tight-knit clans for RTS games, including Armada 2, but they're only that way because they talk to each other outside the game on places like their forums and on xfire, and even on voice communication programs like Teamspeak or Ventrilo.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 11:00:15 PM AH, come join me and Deathsblde on TS were bout to game im hosting.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on July 16, 2007, 11:28:51 PM I would, except I don't have FO installed right now. Had to make room for a ton of photos from my camera. I'll eventually reinstall it when I burn the photos to some disks.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Jan on July 16, 2007, 11:37:12 PM get the hell off of that crap and install fleetops! and now all guys come onto the teamspeak. we are allready three guys here.

Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on July 16, 2007, 11:50:26 PM LOL red...you had to uninstall the game to fit on photos? get a new system man. LOL

Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on August 12, 2007, 01:53:18 AM Fleet Operations Version 3 PR + Patch + Multimedia Pack
Posted on: July 17, 2007, 02:16:49 pm sorry for double post, but for some bloody reason, freeforums deleted the secondary RFO site, and I don't know why. I will be asking a few questions here and there to them, and I will get back to you with more news. Posted on: August 08, 2007, 10:10:55 am alright, i think i got the RFO site up again, and it is piggybacked on the site for another clan me and cairo run. the URL is available upon request RFO is new and improved, and we welcome everyone Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: nefrance on September 09, 2007, 10:40:50 PM i am no longer in LoL
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on September 10, 2007, 01:31:27 AM i think can speak for all of RFO, (all three of us!), when i say that you need not worry about us trying to convice you, because we won't.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO-M.J.Pulaskee on September 10, 2007, 04:25:41 AM thank you for restarting this dead thread.
by the way our site is back up www.mjpp.net/RFO/html soon to have more pages done!! lol free clan sites kinda dont take presidance over paying sites. lol Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Dr. Lazarus on September 10, 2007, 11:18:59 AM It goes without saying that nobody will join a clan just because one of their members says "I say you all join". Eventually that sort of empty language becomes offputting, and so has the opposite effect than intended. I'm far more likely to join MDA now, even thought they're a bunch of turdicles, since at least they prove themselves by actions (i.e. ability) rather than rhetoric. Another incentive to join a clan, and perhaps even more important, is whether they offer training. Some clans also offer a promotion and reward system, and regular battle reports. These are the things a clan should be promoting.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on September 10, 2007, 10:33:34 PM Wait, MDA plays Fleet Ops?
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Dr. Lazarus on September 10, 2007, 10:48:08 PM I can't be sure, but I don't think they do, just A2. I doubt they'd be interested in Flops. It's too "clean looking" for them really...
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on September 10, 2007, 10:50:41 PM Are they the type who's houses could be mistaken for toxic waste disposal sites?
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Dr. Lazarus on September 10, 2007, 11:05:26 PM Yep, that's the type. Easily recognized.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on September 11, 2007, 12:30:34 AM we do offer training of sorts, and we have a ranking system in its infancies. and as for actions, i can only assume that that means playing the game. about every night, me and MJP and often cairo are on playing fleetops.
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RFO Cairo1 on September 12, 2007, 05:15:58 AM well i cant say ranks more like leeders and members its pritty cool if people are intrested we are open com talk to us on team speak or somethin evint if you dont intend to join come talk with us we are usialy on aroun between 3 and 7 centrel time
Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on September 14, 2007, 03:26:02 PM Geez, why does no one use Ventrillo?
I'm to lazy to mess with TS as well. Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: Lumpybob on September 14, 2007, 09:51:08 PM i dabble with vent now and then.
if you got a server, i will be glad to hop in Title: Re: RFO looking for members Post by: RedShirt on September 14, 2007, 10:33:04 PM I don't have one per say, I use my clan's. 'Course, it doesn't matter anymore until I get a new mike to replace my broken one.
