Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 20, 2003, 03:18:39 PM i just saw the voyager episode called dark frontier and at the begging they come under siege by a borg probe and to destory it they teleport a torpedo onto the ship and destory it, now what if there could be a weapon like this that damages but not destorys vessels the only bad side is that you have to lower your shields to send it and you could sustain a bad hit just a thought! ;)
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: ADuc on September 20, 2003, 04:43:40 PM hmm, decisiv moment and..BOOM, no more enemy
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 20, 2003, 06:36:44 PM yep but i know that it would be to much of a powerful weapon coz it takes lots of hits and it slowly damages the hull then place one in and bang no enemy i think it should damage the enemy badly but not to bad
eg take out a system or maybe have it so that it takes out the power and every thing is useless for 5 seconds inc life support + a little damage to the hull Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: Overlord/Zeich on September 20, 2003, 07:00:05 PM I think it sounds like a cool weapon. Something that you could use on another ship, only when thier sheilds are down so you can send the torpedo, but you will have to lower your own sheilds to teleport it. So the other ship could attack you during that time. And then after about 2 seconds it would destory the other ship. It would only be an effective weapon if your weapons are down and the ship isn't in a fleet battle because it would be open for attack from all the other ships in the emeny fleet.
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: Optec on September 20, 2003, 11:57:00 PM well, but you cannot transport through the shildings of a ship.. i think the probe has such week shieldings (or even none), so they could transport it aboard..
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 21, 2003, 10:49:31 AM no voyager took out the shield matrix and the weapon matrix and you hear a borg say that they have been taken out regenarate then intruder alert starfleet photon torpedo disable boom!
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: Optec on September 21, 2003, 12:23:55 PM ah, i see :)
well, i could think of transporter weapons for NP races or one of the races, which is not included yet (for example the dominion or the ciadan) Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: tyrkina on September 21, 2003, 12:47:32 PM cool :)
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 21, 2003, 12:51:50 PM cool these np races are going to be very powerful enemys
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 21, 2003, 12:53:14 PM on the unmodded armada it's really strange when u get netural races like the frengi going about there every day thieveing bussiness taking the borg ships but not being asimulated! Y?
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: Optec on September 21, 2003, 01:45:39 PM yep, the aramda2 ferengies are allies of everyone, as are our neutral stations and ships
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 21, 2003, 08:08:29 PM how the hell are they allies allies help you not take your ships and sell them and the borg don't have any allies they assimulate them
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: Optec on September 21, 2003, 08:25:33 PM well i mean allies in the sense of the game.. if you move the mouse over a ferengi it does not turn into a attack cursor, couse it is you ally..
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: NieKnight on September 21, 2003, 08:26:46 PM i still kill them though it's amazeing what pressing a does ain't it
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: tyrkina on September 21, 2003, 08:54:41 PM or when cursor is over a ferengi press( i think)alt or ctrl and fire :)
Title: Transporting Weapons Post by: ADuc on September 21, 2003, 09:24:11 PM of course, when playing mods with few transporters and lots of big ships, turn them off.It stinks battering down a ISD and then watchinjg the ferengi run off with it becasue you need to go get a ship withg transporters.
