I can't promise yet anything, but that a step forward for the much debated Fleet Operations single player campaign in a future version :) ChessMess works at Mad Doc Software (developer of Armada II). He made this blog entry along with the opening of the "Star Trek Modders Guild".

I've got some great news for modders who are involved in Star Trek Armada II modding. Very soon I will be releasing the files necessary to allow you to create custom single player missions in the game! More information to come soon... and by the way, welcome to the Modders Guild!

yep im egerly awaiting the release of those files too! hope fully they should make it easyer to create singal player missions. Can't wait too see how this 'plays out' with regards to fleet ops, and the

Perhaps just hopefull, but perhaps in a short while they'll release the source-codes.

Maybe after v3 comes out this sdk will be available. If the FO team doesn't develop sp missions im sure some other people might be interested in volunteering ;) ahem

I love that guy, he is a good person, he listens to the people and gives them what they need, he is making The New startrek game as well so i find him very skilled so i hope we can have some custom SP missions in V4! :blush:

This is great news, recon they will release more of the code. The FO team keeps saying that this is one of their problems and if they do it will help the development a lot :P

Hope there is community input into the storyline of 1st player if it goes ahread :)

remember theres fed, klingon, romulan and borg campaigns so a lot can be done but i'd suggest for a properly done 1 with the gloss of FO ^_^ the ST gaming community of devolopers and players like the good ppl of this and many other forums could come together with everyones ideas and make 1 decent single player mod for A2 . if anyone even thinks of doing a star wars thing i'll slap em! :lol:

I asked myself if it's possible then to creat a map that simply includes a one map mission. Imagine a map that can be downloaded in lobby and contains NPC's that comes e.g. from outside the map when the human player reach an area on the map ( trap-like) and tries to disturb a match between 2 humans. Such maps would include a high potential. Maps would be wuite big though...but that would be worth it.
