ok i will

ok i found something and it would be the perfect reason to replace the decent class with and keep all the prometheus fans happy without the need for MVAM

The ship looks nice...I like it, but the size was a little vauge, the intrepid is what...150 meters long compared to the galaxy which is like...500 meters?

Excuse 4 of 11, as a straight man, he has no taste.
(lol, jk four, you know your teh c00lzer)

that is not original that is a prom without the lower set of engines :P
it actualy looks quite bad.  and i think the seperation is just do much-they could get it to be 2 ships by using the galaxy but 3? i dont know

i admire the originality of the prometheus and thats why i want it in the game!!

its an intresting desin but it has some things on it that bother me.

the shudal bay area looks like sunny side up fryed eges

and it cood use a dite on the back areas.

the ship on top looks like a good bata but it cood use more work.

the reason i put it here was that it helps the problem of wanting the prommie without the need for MVam

i am all for modfication of fan meshs i think have alot of intresting idea behind tham BUT most dont relise tham or chose logic over cool looks.

the prometheus is not a fan mesh but it still has a few things that make me feel uneasy with the way it looks.

this desine is beter all most thare needs work tho.

deja vu, i showed you that same design about the titan in another thread. where digging old thread up :)

and the other titan is actually an Ares class ship according to the ussmiranda site and other websites

Ares class on startrek australia (http://www.startrekaustralia.com/startrek/federation/ares/)

Ares class on ussmiranda (http://www.ussmiranda.com/ships/ares.htm)

Ares class on Armada2 filefront (http://armada2.filefront.com/file/Ares_Class;8552)

only bravofleet where you gotten the picture from called it a titan class

indeed, if mvam isnt possible in FO would like to see the prommie looking titan in the game in place of descent

Post by: Admiral Adama on December 22, 2005, 04:08:53 PM
I would rather have the actual prom
1:its cannon
2:the other one may look good but its a ripoff
3:we dont need MVAM just get the prom with out it

Post by: Acidpunk on December 23, 2005, 01:25:28 AM
no offense but anyone who say the prom in a game would kill for Mvam otherwise u aint a trek fan

i don't like the prom with its mvam

i realy dont want mvam because it just slows down the computer and the game and v4/5

I think we just need some better sort of Warship.
If you notice the Warp In ships, they are all older designs.
The Steamrunner, Galaxy and Nebula.
All newer ships (I believe the Prometheus would be included here)
Are built at Ship Yards, rather then requisitioned and diverted from other duties.
I also find it weird how the Galaxy and Nebula have same crew requirements? <,<.
But thats off topic.

the prototype has a registry number in the '52s, placing the commisioning date as 2345.  I don't like it either, but its accepted cannon.

Also, one problem with the Ares design: its intended to be about 120 meters if I remember right.

i tend to believe that they were built just after Wolf 359, since you dont actually see any wreckage of them.

if you look at the design of the ship and the armour

it looks the same as the Defiant akira sov era so i dont think they are that old do you

Title: U.s.s. Titan
Post by: ColdDarkParanoia on December 28, 2005, 12:12:11 PM
im sure they had somthing simmilar to it's in the TMP era. could be possible because in the enterprise era, you saw ships that had the begiinings of that disign.

although that dosn't actuarly count for anything as ent was shot after the lot of them

Title: U.s.s. Titan
Post by: Acidpunk on December 28, 2005, 03:30:45 PM
nope they didnt the Steamrunner is one of the most unique starship designs for the federation in a very long time if not ever

sure the defiant was original but it was based on a runabout the steamrunner however was a completely new design

Post by: Admiral Adama on December 28, 2005, 03:51:36 PM
the steamrunner is nice but it looks a little flimsy.  it has no hieght but looks very ood from top.  i dont think it should be warp in because of what rhaz said.  i do however think they should be included in a yard.  after all the romulans have an equilalent

Title: U.s.s. Titan
Post by: Frodo on December 28, 2005, 03:53:35 PM
aye i agree, a steamrunner would be a valuble asset to a fleet with sovs and galaxies

I pawn with the roms quadcobalt torpedoes :)  that i do is wait out side the base with a big fleet of rhinens phaser and torp and one tavara.  i use the spy on the sabotage station- i now se all and bomb thier base-the ai attacks but is destroyed by the might of my fleety- i bomb the yards first to cut off production then the tech and then the resources and it is dead

Title: U.s.s. Titan
Post by: Acidpunk on December 29, 2005, 12:30:41 AM
see the problem is that wouldnt work

if you are playing Player vs Player you would never get a fleet of the ground let alone a tavara

Post by: Frodo on December 29, 2005, 01:05:40 AM
i propose a 1 vs 1 vs 1 withe me and the last 2 posters. when i can be arsed that is. anyway i would like the steamrunner to be available in a normal contruction yard, however some may say it is too powerful for that. to be honest i think every race is more powerful than the feds - the roms have loads of ships for example so puttin the steamrunner in a normal shipyard and the prommie/titan in the warp in would balance things out a bit. in my opinion

Peaple take any possible excuse to complain about the Federation as it is!  Accidentally overpowering them would only add to the dilemma.
