Buddy... my blood pressure is rising pretty fast after reading this so I will try to type this fast. I don't know why youre saying only 5k, more people die in Canada per year from that. I assume you mean directly by Saddam's hand, which is incorrect monsieur. During Gulf War 1 and around that time, there were chemical attacks used against Iraqi's. Deaths did not reach 50,000 a year. Come years 1995-2005, there were few to no attacks at all, besides the usual you would find in major cities such as Toronto, New York. The data you are using, was compiled during war times, and your clever leaders conveniently forgot to mention the dates that these deaths were happening, thus, 1980-1991 does not equal 1995-2005. You are refering to attrocities occurring in the 80's, if memory serves me you already went to war to stop those(Gulf War 1). Now there are none, do not pretend to justify Gulf War 2. Also, the death toll both civilian and military is significantly high. Not to mention the absolute destruction of buildings everywhere, of some power grids, of some water pipes, for a while leaving many Iraqi's without fresh water. I must also protest the hateful use of the word "communist". You are no doubt emulating emotions from the cold war era, towards the Soviets. Not all communists are Soviets. Communism is a different aspect of govermnent, on the opposite end of the spectrum from capitalism. Communism isnt heartless, it is the people and means of which they enforce communism that has been so far. In a perfect world communism could have the potential to work well.

Of course I ment by Saddams hand, that is needless to say. And no, the Iraqi infastracture is ALOT better now since we arrived, except for the oil piplines, of course Saddam kept those in good repair. I was refering to the secret police killing 50,000 people a year for what Saddam thought was treason against him and to secure his own power in THIS decade, don't even get me started on the Kurds.

Don't get me started on Communism either, of course in a perfect world it could POSSIBLY work, but we don't live in a perfect world do we?
