Title: Question On Typing Injuries Post by: NCC1701Z on April 24, 2005, 02:28:56 AM I was up till 3 AM for the past 2 weeks, doing essays, projects, etc. I had a good night's sleep in Saturday, and when I woke up to do some work -more typing of course-, a bone in my right arm started hurting. The pain originates between the wrist of my arm and the elbow, right in the middle. So far, I elevated my entire arm when I typed, so that my fingeres are lower than my arm, and the pain is better, but is there something wrong with me? has anyone else had this before? how long does this last? is it severe? Im kida scared....

Title: Question On Typing Injuries Post by: T-Man on April 24, 2005, 06:57:18 PM Its either Carpal tunnel syndrome like Preator said, or it could be RSI (repetetive strain injury) which is quite common with PC users. It happens if you use the same muscle for the same thing again and again. Everything Preator said to do will also help cure RSI.
Title: Question On Typing Injuries Post by: PREATOR DEFIANT on April 24, 2005, 09:38:59 PM I actually got a mousepad with this squishy cushion thing on the end where your wrist lays. I don't need it anymore and if I could give to you I would. I suggest you go get yourself one, their pretty pimp.

Anyways carpal tunnel is no big deal (but the doctor's visit was a good idea just to be safe) (tell your teachers that it is life threatening and you might get a few days extension on those projects) Title: Question On Typing Injuries Post by: Legacy on April 28, 2005, 12:50:02 AM ...And that you can't write or type and you can get less work...:P

Title: Question On Typing Injuries Post by: NCC1701Z on April 29, 2005, 11:45:26 PM Quote NCC1701Z: see Star Trek, Voyager, Season 6, "good shepard" Yeah I saw that episode and I actually liked it a lot, seeing the life of underclassed crewmen was actually quite.. unique and entertaining. Anyways carpal tunnel is no big deal (but the doctor's visit was a good idea just to be safe) (tell your teachers that it is life threatening and you might get a few days extension on those projects) Well, some people experience their hands being electrocuted when they have carpal tunnel syndrome.. sigh.. I hope my resultes come back soon............its gona be coming in like May 14th...=.=
