no hes saying that people are going to get them quickly, and no they won't i offerd gmail to this forum ages ago about 2 people took me up lol and now between my four acounts i have 200 invites :(

I just grabbed one. It should be fun to try out. But i've been wondering. How can they afford to give out 1 Gig of storage space?

if you look on the right of your email there is antext releated advert, they scan your email (they being google bot so yes a meachine reads your email, i don't think it cares whats in there to be honest) and then displays a revleant email, so if you get an email asking you to buy somthing, you will proberly get an ebasy advert for example.
