I dont believe "Nanite" actually means anything, but the word "Nano" is a way of measuring size.. it's microscopic.
-I think, please correct me otherwise-

Well, I'm pretty sure that this word actually exists. I know what are nanites for (thats obvious), I only do not know the small things about this topic. Well, for start, i never heard word nanites in ST. There has always been word 'nanoprobes' in use - :borg: .I don't know if it is the same. In "I -Robot" (by the way great movie   :D ) there are nanites - used to kill AI", but is it the same as nanoprobes from B2 (and ST in general)?  :assimilate:
