Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

My friend and I recently Downloaded FO and installed the V.2 patch since we cant play over Gamespy we direct connected with IPs. Everytime we play the game with computers the game goes out of sync, but everytime we play 1 vs 1 its fine. I thought the patch fixed it goin out of sync. I know it was a Prob with a1 but never seen it in a2 can anyone help me????

Ok the game can go out of sync for many reasons.

1. The map Nirvana 2 HATES AIs and goes OOS easy.
2. Firewalls cause it also.
3. As Cairo pointed out it can be caused just by many players.

man this is going to piss optec out, he spent ages making the patch for beta 2 to try and fix this issue, you do have the patches yes?

yes I do and thanks for the greating, I had the mod for a while and I forced my friend who lives in another state to try it cause hes never played mods b4 and its a real pain to have the game go out of sync, and for me when I leave a MP game, the game crashes and I have to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete its all really frustrating, but skermishes are awesome the mod runs flawlessly

I used to have that problem where I couldn't get out of the game scores afterwards too. Then I got Norton and a program called anticrash.

I have herd that using formatoins will put games out of sync in A2. lol done it before by accsedent.

well we made further fixes for that bug in v3 so you should wait till the v3 release. it should be fixed then... i hope so :)

yah their is no need to mod beta 2 when version 3 comes out

When should V3 b out so Im not stuck praying every night for it to b on the site the next morning lol. Yea the thing about the game crashing, I want to do the torney but if it crashes people will have to wait for me, and with the out of sync thing, so I dont kno what to do atm

The turny is not till V3 comes out im prity shure so sign up.

You don't want to join any FO clans, at least none that use this forum, trust me.

dont mind pd he dont like clans. i am actualy a clan leeder as is mjp and evint the clan hater pd and black barron have a clan. but i will add you to the rfo tournament if you want hear i will send you the link to diplomatic site

Clans involved with FO have been very rude to other people and to their own members so I emplore you to hold off awhile on joining anything.

And carp, I wasen't specifically talking about your clan because I know nothing about it. Frankly, how does a clan dedicated to peace actually work and even actually be called a clan?

People please, you two are getting out of controle, now with the guild thing, why not go out and try and find more people to play FO and make more guilds n such.

I'm simply telling you there is more to playing a game the a clan. I personally perfer to be alone and you might to. Just don't want you to think you have to join a clan to get recognition.

to improve all the guilds and try not to fight about it win or lose, no reason crying over spilled milk, is basicly what im trying to say. u lose u lose deal with it

ahh understood, I was trying to join a clan because I thought u had to b in one to play in the Torney. Cause in A2 i will admit im really not as good as I am in a1 but If I try I can b, thats if the game doesnt go out of sync. It always happens when I add mods

You by no means need to be in a clan to join the tournament.

try to play without noxter as they may be causing that issue.

oh no you dont have to be in a clan to go to a tournament only if you are in a clan you can particapate in clan wars and diplomacy a clan shood be a frindly place whear people represent a few races on one i rep Romulans in my RFO for instance

nope we were just using the regular races, I hope the problem can b fixed, and the game always freezes when I leave, end, or finnish an online game. Skermises are ok but internet isnt for some reason.
