Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

Good morning everyone, i wanted to see who plays magic on the forums. If you think you have a neat deck idea feel free to posst it here. be sure to include the cards and how many. PS im not trying to steal ideas for my self, ill post my Elf/Burn and Goblin if they work since i modifyed them. If you don't like magic dont post, i dont need more assholes making fun of me for my geek tendecies. :lol:  

a friend of mine plays. and also he is trying to convince me to start too but i just don't have the time although magic seems to be a really good game ;)

I played it when i was in highschool.  Interesting but i don't like when i must regularly buy new cards or boosters to have better deck.

am i the only 15 year old here? :huh:  

i am 15, i admitt it appeals to me, but it don't appeal to me, i have a slight intrest in it but i am not really bothered about it, i have better things to be doing, plus i thikn it is a wast of money when you constantly have to update it to get better ones.

I play magic.  But unlike most of the people here, I barely know anyone else who does.  So my decks aren't that good.  I play every now and then when I find someone who plays.  

i played it once years ago, but i never collected the cards. i just played with the starter deck of a friend and lost to often :D

Well, Fortuantely my high school has a after school Magic Club every tuesday and thursday. I get alot of practice as far as decks go i have 5:
A very evil and mean Elf deck
A red/Green burn deck
A Vampire deck (my current favorite)
A decent goblin deck
A crappy pure red burn deck.

I currently have a Black/White deck. It is very non-type2, and works on several main principals, draining an oponents life to feed myself. Meanwhile gaining an inordinate amount of life through life gain spells, and using storm herd to give me many 1/1 flying tokens. I can usualy win either through storm herd, atrittion due to my masisve life gaining abilitys while draining life from my oponent every turn via pillory of the sleepless and agent of masks or by the white and black myojin's I threw in for fun. If only I could pick up 4 Orzhov dual lands, It would be nealy complete, but I dont realy want to spend $80 on land alone. Not to mention I would be compelled to replace all swamps and plains with unhinged swamps and plains.

Seriously, this topic has been dead for two years now.  I mean, this topic is deader than Bush's popularity rating.  The least we can do is give it a proper burial...

What is it with you people... On most forums when posting things people ***** about not serching for an apropriate thread that was already made. I find a thread that I was gonna make and post in it and the people come out of the woodwork to *****. jesus ***** ******* christ. Now, Only post in here if you have something relevent to post about magic cards, not about the age of this thread, since what the **** is the difference between me posting in this thread or my starting my own just firther polutiing the forums with extra and repeat threads.

I never played Mahic myself, but I've heard its pretty good

Tis fun but expensive as hell... some cards (exceptional) can cost in the hundreds if they are Alphas, or the first edition. I dont buy any more, just play. :shifty:  

You realy only need to keep buying cards if you want to play in type2 tournies anyway, after you have a couple decks built.

Is it like other comparable card games in that they constantly add new "supercards" so that you have to constantly buy to stay competitive?

No, they try and keep it ballenced. They even ban some cards in certain tournaments. The banned ones tend to be rather expensive and hard to aquire though.

I'd imagine.  If they're good enough to be banned, then there must be quite a bit of demand.

Yah, the Black Lotus can fetch up to 2-3 grand.

Indeed, that would be unfortunate since the card is severely out of print.
