Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

If you could have a flagship from the Star Trek universe what would it be? :D  

Being Federation, I would choose a vessel that wouldn't be recognized by the enemy as flagship immediately, nor should it be a vessel that would be first target because of it's size and power.

So Sovereigns, Galaxy class ships and (in FO) Descent class would be out of question.

It should be medium sized and fast. An Akira or Intrepid would be fine, I think.

So in fact, I would need a "battle flagship"... So a modified Akira with an above average crew would do that.

For representation, I would use a Sovereign.


 

Flagship of The Romulan Star Empire and main command ship of Romulan 9th fleet is Maximus Warbird, D'deridex class.

Mine would have to be the Dominion dreadgnought  :D  

i personaly, would have voyager as it has traveld though more galaxy than any ship (except the enter pries with the travler) than any other ship its has made first contact with more races than picard has it has surived many battles and it has also surived the borg how many ships do that?

Galaxy Class starship will suffice me, I would like to say Voyager, but Voyager is just too small for the job...

sup it up then, it has armour, slipstream , transwarp borg teck data on wepaongs SF has never heared of!

I think i would take a Sovereign, just because it looks nice :)

If I were to have a flagship It'd have to be an Unfinished ship. Something a friend of mine made a model of but hasn't textured yet. The USS Tallace. I should get at least the untextured renders up here. Anyone do textures? Wait till I get home. I should be able to find them.

imagine a ship with ever teck shown on st, every weapon X5 four worpcores so you can inject them, the best cloak ever to be invented and to hold it all off shields thst can be penatrated!

basicly, but then again really speaking the borg could do it, they have assimulated atleast one ship of every kind (except premanition) and countless more!

Norexan for me.

being that i'm romulan in fleet ops, i'd probably pick a norexan. the new eresis (is that spelled right?) fast warbird in 3.0 would be my next pick.

considering that i'm a fed outside of fleet ops, my flagship would be the ship that i'm 'captain' of, the Sovereign class USS Saratoga NCC-75710. fast, powerful, damn good looking, and able to blast Jem'Hadar battlecruisers, the sov is the way to go in my opinion. as a flag officer in real life and looking for an inconspicious but powerful ship, an akira would be the way to go.

An upgraded good old Excelsior class will do nicely, thank you. Just add a few of them quantum torpedoes, enhanced phasers and shields and thicker armor, and you have a nice command cruiser.

As a feddie, I would either have an Excelsior II or an Akira.  As a romulan a Norexan.

I'd want the regent worf's mirror universe Negh'var. 4500 meters long! :D  and enough weapons to toast a small planet :blink:  i dont care if the defiant beat it the damn ship held still.

The Defiant could beat everything in the show...meaning it was a super ship just like in Voyager. Those ships arnt expendable like the red shirted ensigns. I'd take me a Sovern to either anyday, if I played as a fed.

Gotta have a fleet command and diplomatic ship, and a battle command ship, so for Fed a Galaxy for diplomacy and shift my flag to a Defiant for battle. Between the PPCs, ventral and dorsal Type X phasers and double burst quantum torpedo tubes it would hold its own just fine.

As a Romulan: Tavara (or Norexan refit). No question.

I wouldn't dare sail in a Sovereign, those things attract fire like moths to a flame.

He had said he's hurk cuz it's not a cannon ship. Some people can't use thier imagination when it comes to ships. Sometimes non-cannon ships are kooler than what's there. Some ships are design for specific things is all. I happen to think the Tallace is a good ship. I'd call her my own anyday.

it looks nice, and defiant, all ships are uncannon tostart off with, if i showed you a pic of one of the many exapmles of the gal class you would call them uncannon but they are  still ST, you need to expand on the range of ships, i erpsonaly like non cannon, ie this ship and a few others the discovery suck monkey dick (JK white :P)

First it's canon, not cannon. It's the same word as "singing canon", meaning the same song starting at different points of time (for example "Row, row, row your boat").

I don't know if this saying is common in English, too, but in German you sometimes say: "That fits to the canon." meaning it fits to the general attitude of a group of people concerning the same topic.

So in fact, canon means in this case, that it's "official" because it has either been stated by the people who make Star Trek but more so if it has been seen either in an actual TV series or movie.

Sometimes it's also called conjectural and non-conjectural if talking about things that have been designed by people from the show but not actually been used.

So, canon is generally everything that can be seen in released movies and series while non-canon stuff is everything else, especially everything fan-made.

Yes Eufnoc everything the designers make in the beginning is not canon, but once it's in the show it's considered canon. This ship, being an ugly ass kitbash, dosen't appeal to me design wise already, and the fact it was never in a show leaves me wondering why we couldn't use all those ships first, then make them up.

I still like the ship. You don't have to like her, you're opinions are your own. I know I wont be called to fly her in any fleets of yours while She's commissioned. Cannon Ships are ok, but I like the unconventional aproach to some things. Is all.

My flagship would be the USS Dordrecht (Dordrecht Class) a design of my own

but for an "excisting class" I would use the sov or the defiant

well, thats a good start ^_^ . I would definetly have a Negh'Var, i love everything about that ship. ANd the underslung 'siege' disruptors or torpedo launchers are just the coolest weapons in the klingon empire. :D  

I'd have to go with the timeless classic the bird of prey or maybe the more mordern Kvort class, i've always perfered smaller faster ships, theres more tactics involved to use them.

good, i like the bird of prey too, however th kvort's large size makes it unmanuverable or at least the cannon version of the ship.

The only proviso on smaller ships is that they're easily destroyed. I fully appreciate the role a saber or bird of prey or any small destroyer in espionage, scouting, hit and run etc. but they're no flagship. In fleet battles tin cans (slang for destroyer, in at least the American Navy) die and die fast.

My Flagship if it diddn't have to be real would be a large gelatious opaqe pink-blob.

it would have extreemly fast regenerative abilities. Bio Engineered weapons. and immunity to bioweaopns and borg nanoprobes (even "enhanced" ones.)

It'd have to be the Excelsior, or Excelsior Refit (Ent-B style) for me, or a small Tal Shiar ship, a Shrike perhaps.

is your Dordrecht Class a diffient class? that is what it looks like mine as I sais earlyer either a Norexan or a speicaly disigned and re fit battlecruser but of my own disign i would take my moble fotracr Amedues behold (it is bacicaly a reble blockade runner refit but it is huge here look) you cant see it very well and you can see my old fleet now it is up dated. :D ok hang on it is not

my personal flagship would have to be a prometheus class.

heh... I would have to go with the Krenim time erasing ship with an almost station like set of conventional weapons and a very nice temporal erasour suddenly I erase the shipyards and thus no enemy fleets. silly yes but hey anything to win  B)

dont think that would happen becouse the ship dose not know of the temprol agents yet, and if they did they would have to get to the home worldby the time they did the Agent would have assasinated him, also if they sent 2 agens, one from two difrents worlds they would have a better chance. then you ahve the thing we saw in First Contact, were earth was a similated but the enterpize was not...therfor if the agent was in the past there is a chance he would not be afected.

no, when the krenim temporal warship eradicates a races homeworld, that race is erased from all time and it is like that race never existed. so, an agent in the past would be ineffective.
