Star Trek Armada II: Fleet Operations

We have put together an overview with all avatars that will be available in upcoming Fleet Operations 3.0 for you.

Currently the Dominion is not integrated as we still develop it so we won't put half ready information on the page (look in the forum for that  ;) ).
Also it is planned to list more information about the characters you choose itself. These include their intentions, their tactics and maybe some picks about their personal life (what could be hard to do for borg :lol:).

Kool!! I like it!! Would like to be able to click on the ship pics and see some info about them. COuld that be done at a later time? Sort of like a ships page?

i think avatars are a great addition on the game. the info will be very helpful. i love the new options ans twists for the same races. i finnaly have different options for the borg.  Assilate people or.................. KILL THEM ALL.    HA HA HA YOU WILL ALL DIE AT THE HANDS OF THE  COLLECTIVE. . . . . . .MUHAHAHAHA!!!!!  :lol:  :D  ^_^

We are still working on the Phalanx Class, that's why the image is missing. We will add it as soon as the model is complete  :rolleyes:  

As I can see, Griffin class is in the FO, and that's just great.

can the ai use avatars?

It looks really good.  I can't wait for the release.

Oh, and sorry I havn't posted in awhile.  I've been extremely busy, but I've got alittle more time on my hands now.

Ai will use each time the same avatar, it can't randomly choose which one to take.

if i can make a suggustion for a v3 pach or v4 how about 3 total avaters for the feds adrmal jenway for the klingons Garwon for the borg a elimation derective for the romulans a remun (oh and a replacr ment for one of the current avatars Sela) for the dominion scince they havent come out a cardasion a breen and the founder

hummm whay is thare not admiral optic and admiral doca cola.

dominion can have first, and you get faster build on early ships, Thot Gor(breen), the breen ship energy weapon & more breen ships, Vorta, mabye more troops faster, a rebel special weapon for the destroyer(kills vorta, ships, weapons go up...), Founder, you get a ship with founder spy, like rom spy.  

i have a huge important suggestion. for v4 bring back the cardasians.  they were like my favorite race in the orrigonal armada 2.  they would look great in fleet ops.  their avatars could be gul'doucot and ............someone else. they would be a very asteically pleasing race.  you should also bring back the ability to colonate.  and last but certainly not least make the maps about 4 times bigger than they are.
fleet ops would them be close to perfection.  the borg must have perfection.  :shifty: add assililation turrets for the borg assimilation avatar too.  :rolleyes:

if you dont know NP means non playable

1) biger map size meens biger game size more ram neede to run it. i whood coshon you about biger maps.

2) and the fact that thares no warp makes it hard to go long disantese with out faling asleep.

Just got back from Tenerife and i am amazed about the avatars. I didn't knew that they would give so much influence in the game and i would like to play them all once :)

Im guessing that you chose a Avatar instead of a race? in that case...is there a nutraule one..or one we can but our own face on?

can we have a random avatar like a random race?

You'll have to hunt down files and edit them. Avatars are something like building buttons.  You have them explained in older news section. It exploains how are they used and how do you choose.

I took a dictionary before I posted... but the wrong one as it seems. A German "Foreign Words Dictionary".

The spelling depends on from which word you make it.

If it's Italian-based (the original is "detto" in that case), ditto makes sense.
If it's Latin-based or taken from a French variation, it's "dito" (that's the way it's written in France and Germany).

The Oxford Dictionary has it "ditto". So it's language based.
Funny thing. I thought it should be the same in all languages, but it is not.

However, "dito" looks more classic. :D After all, I'm pro Europe, so I'll stay with dito. ;)

PS: That google thing generally has two problems: 1) It shows names and words with other meaning as well. 2) It shows all the pages where people wrote it wrong.

Works with many words. Try many and manny for example. Only one is right concerning "a large amount of things", but both give lots of hits in google.

In our case, dito and ditto give about the same amount of hits, with some more for dito. That shows that both variants exist, as stated above.
