Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: Silent_lord on August 06, 2004, 12:25:31 PM Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help with my problem. i have recently installed fleet operations beta 2 onto my computer, it loads up, main screen comes on, after instant action its always crashes on the game loading screen, no matter what i click in the instant action screen. it simply gives me this error: Armada2.tgt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows Can anyone help me on how to get around this and enjoy Fleet operations? Thanks Silent_lord Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: KL0K on August 06, 2004, 12:32:08 PM try a clean install, delete the folder, install it once more.. install the multimedia pack and the beta 2 patch from the download section..
if that happens again, give ur systemspecs and a dxdiag.log file as attachment... Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: startrek47 on August 06, 2004, 12:40:14 PM Welcome to the Forums!!!
now, about fleetops: your d/l may be corrupted, try to redownload/reinstall/restart and see if it still crashes. you may need to d/l the patch as well. And also, I got this prob once because i installed over a current installation of a2. you dont need to have a2 installed, just have the disk in the drive. also try deactivating unnessary beckground tasks and disable any anti-virus software(McAfee, Norton...) [RFO]Startrek47 Also, if you get it working, you may want to join a clan(group of players for a game) . As you see below, RFO has many allies, and are only at war with one clan. Go to our boards:http://forpg.co.uk/forums/ and PM either myself([RFO]startrek47) or our clan preator(RFO Cairo 1) Just sign up with the [RFO] tag, tell us a little about yourself, and we will consider you for membership into Romulan Fleet Ops, the BEST romulan clan around! Actually Klok(above post) is in RFO, aren't you??oh no you are not because of all our 'alliances' i think Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: KL0K on August 06, 2004, 12:57:08 PM its offtopic, but i´m no clanmember anymore, signed out, account there can be deleted...
Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: Silent_lord on August 06, 2004, 02:29:04 PM Hi
Thanks for the warm welcome. This is the second installation, i have the beta patch 1 and 2 plus the multimedia patch and the hotfix 1. However i might try turning off my anti-virus and firewall. Also KLOK, how do i go about finding the systemspecs and Dxdaig.log, i know alittle about computers, just enough to play games and surf the net. Startrek47, you guys have clans and stuff, sounds cool. Thanks Silent_lord Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: [RFO]MIGHTY ROM on August 06, 2004, 04:21:21 PM if u join now u can strt out as subcommander of my warbird :D
Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: PREATOR DEFIANT on August 06, 2004, 04:23:10 PM You don't wanna join any of these clans trust me, their all evil.

Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: Lt.Cdr.White on August 06, 2004, 04:28:52 PM And one more thing:
You should only install Fleet Operations Beta 2 and Patch 2, not the earlier patches. Patch 2 includes the other ones. Installing all patches together has already caused strange game behaviour before (and online gaming incompatibilities *what a word*). The optional Multimedia and Language Packs are ok though. Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: PREATOR DEFIANT on August 06, 2004, 04:30:19 PM I'm not recruitin him, i'm not in a clan, simply tellin him to be smart and just not join any of these so called clans.
Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: KL0K on August 06, 2004, 05:25:15 PM Quote Hi system specs can be found simple as followin now. Thanks for the warm welcome. Startrek47, you guys have clans and stuff, sounds cool. Thanks Silent_lord start - execute - type in there: dxdiag then a screen appears, and the software is searching the information, on the first screen u´ll find the mainboard, cpu and Mhz, the amount of ram, and on the page called graphics ur graphiccard model with chip and used driver, on the page sound ur soundcard and chip... at the bottom of the directx diag tool is a button called save information, do that, and attach that file when u post it next time, there´s a button to do so, when u post to attach things. and what OS u´r using, WinXP, 98, ME, NT that info could be useful to detect failures... also, maybe u could say what programs are actually running in the background, shown in the taskbar, the lil icons, and u can use ALT+STRG-Delete to get those information. what programs are running. and at the end i want to say, keep ur drivers for ur graphic card up-to-date, at the site of the manufacturer of ur chip u can get those updated drivers.. if u dont find the site, try to google the site out with the information u get from dxdiag´s screens. hope i could help a bit Title: B2: Fleet Operations Error Post by: [RFO]MIGHTY ROM on August 09, 2004, 08:11:49 PM have u turned of all the programs?, mayby it didnt download right or maybe it only dloaded halfway
