i was reading the washingtonpost.com a 2 days ago and i saw some thing about this.


UPDATE 07.19.04:  The guest appearance of Brent Spiner in Star Trek: Enterprise (mentioned below) has been confirmed by the studio.  He will appear in a three-episode story arc which will probably be the fourth through sixth segments of Season 4.

I knew from the first episode that the show sucked and o nver wacthed it. but this is very low. Why don't they put in the borg and the domion aswell and get it over with?

No they haven't... I mean, Berman was Executive Producer and right hand of Roddenberry for many years during making TNG. So, no way he saw what he produced. Hehe! ;)

Brent Spiner is going to be on Enterprise for a 3 episode story arch which Brent (Data) plays the great great grandfather of Dr. Soong, the creator of Data.  Thats about all that is known about it now.  But there are rumors that it might have something to do with genetic wars, since the character Brent is playing is suppose to be a supporter of genetic engineering.  

Yeah the interview did say that BRENT SPINER would be in the show, NOT Data :P

no i saw it...but i forgot him... but b-4 wasnt the one with a functional brain... remember how they were messin around with him to update his functionality.. he was never supposed to be online...

You can't be sure if B-4 is really the prototype. He could also be a bad copy made for only one purpose: Infiltrating the Enterprise.

In Nemesis, it was never made clear if he was really the prototype or rather was only meant to "get through as the prototype".

And I believe we won't find out before they decide to do a new TNG movie.

Btw:

I thought Nemesis was a nice idea, but with an asshole as director and with the idea to kill Data, I simply hate that movie (except the Romulan stuff ;)). It was more or less the day Star Trek died for me (partly). And while I'm writing this, GL is killing Star Wars... thank god I switched my hobby to living history. ;)

yeah i agree, the decision to kill data i think was only due to the fact that ppl were knocking st that you know that main characters never died only the ensigns or less known characters the only other main character who died is yar.

As far as I know, it was because Brent Spiner felt to old to play Data... at least that's what he said.

i think datas deth was do to data was geting to real and thay wonted to make data jerky and dumn agin to hope fuly give the cowe of the enterprise the same plays as win thay started may thare gona use if in the next seres of start trek how know. but what we do know thare was a reson for it
